 We are a 100% natural and organic personal care product online store founded and based in Oakland, California. Each product is handmade by our Oakland native, founder, and CEO, Onaja Waki. She and her team intricately curate a range of skin, body, hair, and face products designed to provide users with the utmost healing and repairing properties. As well as the ultimate beauty regimen for all genders, ethnicities, and ages. At Original Secrets, our guiding principle is to reconnect individuals with their natural roots by encouraging the use of products derived and extracted from herbs, plants, fruits, minerals, and similar natural sources. Our mission is to offer products that are as organic and natural as the human body. 

One of our biggest planned initiatives is building a small outdoor biodynamic herbal garden and/or “physic garden” to supply Original Secrets with its very own organically and ethically sourced herbs, and botanicals that are needed for more than 90% of the products provided. This in turn means more ownership in the supply chain as well as quality control in terms of raw materials used at Original Secrets. By cutting down on outsourcing from third party suppliers we can have more oversight on where and how the herbs/plants are grown and cultivated.  

At Original Secrets we operate with a Tripple-Bottom Line. Meaning not only considering profit, but the people, and the planet too! With the recent rise in health, and environmental  awareness especially here in the State of California. Original Secrets has a duty as a small business to be mindful of waste and excessive packaging. Original Secrets refrains from any plastic usage. Plastics are known to leach their harmful toxins into the environment as well as into their contents. They can absorb and house harmful microbes making long-term usage not ideal. So instead, 100% glass and BPA-free jars, bottles, and tinctures for proper reuse and recycling efforts are used. Original Secrets’ products already require the use of some of the planet’s natural resources. Therefore, leftover botanicals and herbs after being strained, or double-boiled are reused in beeswax candles the owner makes and gives away for free. Or properly composted.
